April is National Poetry Month. As a writer I should be up on these things, but I don't always pay attention like I should. So... the Academy of American Poets has issued a challenge: all poets should write a poem a day for the month of April. Since my poetry writing has been about nil in my year+ since leaving Berea, I thought this was a good idea. Keep your eyes peeled... I will try to have one up every day this coming month!
In continued celebration of this joy, I should let you know that my students are studying poetry this month as well. I may tell them about this challenge and see what they think...
